Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
About the Role
We are looking for a fully licensed LPC (Texas) to join us as a 1099 contractor.
Location: Leander, TX
This role is a good fit for someone who values:
- Flexibility in their schedule and clinical approach
- Meaningful connection with clients over rushed or surface-level work
- Being part of a growing practice where their voice actually matters
- Clinical autonomy paired with supportive collaboration when needed
You’ll work with a caseload that may include children, adolescents, individuals, and/or families based on your strengths and interests. We are not looking for a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach—we are looking for clinicians who can think clinically, stay grounded in evidence-based work, and adapt treatment to the actual person in front of them.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing individual and/or family therapy
- Building strong, trusting therapeutic relationships
- Completing treatment plans that reflect the real needs of each client
- Maintaining timely and accurate documentation in our EHR system
- Collaborating when helpful, while maintaining independence in your clinical work
- Optional involvement in practice growth or community outreach if that’s something you enjoy
What We’re Looking For
- Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Texas (No Associates at this time)
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Clinicians who value connection, presence, and relational work
- Strong ability to build rapport with children, teens, and families
- Organized, responsible with documentation and follow-through
- Alignment with values of authenticity, flexibility, and collaborative care
Schedule & Caseload
- Part-time or full-time availability considered
- Preference for 3–4 days per week
- Afternoon and/or early evening availability preferred for child and adolescent clients
- No weekend requirement (optional if desired)
Compensation
- Competitive 1099 contractor rate
- Rate discussed during interview based on experience and caseload fit
Bonus (Not Required, but Valued)
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Interest in family systems work
- Desire to grow with a developing, intentional practice
Why Join Better Together Therapy?
We are a small but expanding practice that cares deeply about how we show up—for clients and for clinicians.
Here, you’ll have:
- Clinical autonomy in your work
- A flexible, supportive environment
- Office space and EHR support to reduce administrative burden
- A practice culture rooted in connection, not hierarchy
Most importantly, we are building something with intention. We are looking for clinicians who don’t just want a contract—but want to be part of shaping a practice that prioritizes real relationships, thoughtful care, and lasting impact.
