The Journey Begins Here...
Child and Adolescent Therapy
As a compassionate therapist specializing in Child and Adolescent Therapy at Better Together Therapy, I deeply understand the pain and challenges that children and adolescents may be facing. From navigating the complexities of peer relationships and academic pressures to coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, and family dynamics, young individuals often encounter a multitude of difficulties as they navigate their formative years. It’s crucial for clients to feel understood and supported in addressing these issues, and my goal is to provide a safe and nurturing space where they can explore their emotions, heal from their pain, and develop coping skills to overcome life’s obstacles.
Understanding Child and Adolescent Therapy
Child and adolescent therapy is a calling that I answer with both my head and my heart. Each session is a step on a path of discovery, where I help your child uncover their strengths, understand their emotions, and cultivate the skills they’ll need to face the world with confidence. My role is to listen, to guide, and to provide a safe and nurturing environment where your child can truly thrive.
Services Offered
In my practice, I offer a range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of children and adolescents. Each type of therapy serves a unique purpose, and together, we can determine the best approach for your child.
Individual Therapy
Our one-on-one sessions are a cornerstone of the therapeutic process. Here, I create a warm and inviting space for your child to share their innermost thoughts and feelings. We’ll explore their world together, developing personalized strategies to help them navigate life’s challenges with resilience.
Parent Support and Guidance
Parenting can be challenging, especially when navigating the complexities of raising a child or teen. I offer support and guidance to parents, providing resources, strategies, and a compassionate ear to address parenting concerns and enhance family well-being.
School Collaboration
If needed, I collaborate closely with schools and educational professionals to support the academic and emotional success of young clients. I am your child’s advocate.
My Approach
I believe in a personalized approach to therapy, recognizing that every child and adolescent is unique. Through evidence-based techniques and interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and art therapy, I establish a safe and supportive environment where young individuals can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Evidence-Based Practices
I’m committed to using therapeutic techniques that have been shown to be effective through rigorous research. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, and many other approaches form the foundation of my practice.
Tailored Strategies
No two children are the same, and as such, no two therapy plans should be identical. I take the time to get to know your child, their personality, their challenges, and their aspirations. Together, we’ll craft a therapeutic journey that’s as unique as they are.
Supportive Environment
The atmosphere of our therapy space is one of warmth and acceptance—a sanctuary where your child can explore, learn, and grow. I strive to create a space where your child feels comfortable and motivated to engage in the therapeutic process.
Common Concerns Addressed
Throughout my years of practice, I’ve helped families navigate a wide array of concerns. Whether your child is grappling with anxiety, coping with the effects of ADHD, or working through the aftermath of trauma, I’m here to offer expertise and compassion. I also support young people as they manage social struggles, school-related stress, and the quest for a strong and positive identity.
